Nicole Baker (she/her) is a movement artist, educator, and creative director working at the intersection of dance, storytelling, and digital media. Her career spans concert dance, theater, puppetry, cultural diplomacy, and e-commerce innovation.

Nicole has performed with Yaa Samar! Dance Theatre under Samar Haddad King in Gathering as part of The Shed’s Open Call Program, and toured nationally and internationally as a principal dancer and rehearsal director with Eryc Taylor Dance, performing across South Korea, Mexico, and the U.S. She also toured extensively with Handspring Puppet Company and The Walk Productions in The Walk with Little Amal, performing in front of thousands of people across more than 20 countries and states, collaborating with hundreds of community partners. Additionally, she performed with Company E on their UAE tour of The Pearl Diver’s Daughter, a cultural diplomacy initiative.

Nicole was in residence at Colgate University with Joshua Gelb’s Theater in Quarantine, performing in Nosferatu, and served as associate choreographer for Long Wharf Theatre’s She Loves Me under Chris Bell and Artistic Director Jacob G. Padrón.

Her choreographic and community-based work includes founding everydaymoves, through which she developed an arts education program in the Yucatán in collaboration with Compañía Umbral Danza Contemporánea, local schools, and underserved communities. She has taught in studios, community centers, and corporate wellness spaces including Equinox, Spotify, PayPal, and BarkBox, and is a NASM-certified trainer with a focus on Pilates and barre.

Outside the studio, Nicole is a partner and creative director of Ecomm Cartel, an e-commerce marketing agency that bridges the gap between data analytics and artistic creativity to drive scalable DTC growth. She oversees all creative content, specializing in graphic design, product photography, and brand storytelling.

Nicole holds a BFA in Dance Performance from Adelphi University, graduating summa cum laude. She is passionate about building inclusive, accessible movement experiences—and believes that dance is a shared language, one that transforms both the dancer and the communities they move through.
